Administration of Justice
This course is designed to provide classroom instruction to prepare students for employment or advanced training in law enforcement or law enforcement related careers. Students will learn about local, state and federal law enforcement agencies as well as private security. Students will learn about the criminal justice system and laws. A portion of the career development may involve training at a post secondary institution. This course is offered at the El Rancho Unified School District and the Whittier Union High School District and is articulated with Rio Hondo College AJ 101 (3 units). Students must receive an A or B in this class to apply for Rio Hondo College credit. Students must take Rio Hondo College exam.
Integrated throughout the course are career preparation and academic content standards, which include basic skills, communication, interpersonal skills, problem solving, safety, technology, and other employment skills.
