Foods and Hospitality

Introduces students to the basic elements of food preparation in laboratory setting. The food guide pyramid, meal planning, and ethnic cuisine will be investigated as well as sanitation and proper food handling techniques.

Integrated throughout the course are career preparation and academic content standards, which include basic skills, communication, interpersonal skills, problem solving, safety, technology, and other employment skills.
